兔群日常健康巡查制度：从群体观察到个体检查的规范流程

Daily health inspection is the most basic yet most important task in rabbit farm management. Standardized inspection systems detect abnormalities early in disease outbreaks, enabling timely intervention to minimize losses. Inspections should be institutionalized with assigned responsibilities and documented records.

Group observation is the first screening layer. Conduct inspections twice daily morning and evening, observing overall herd activity, feeding eagerness, and fecal condition. Healthy herds display alert rabbits, active feeding, and hard round pellet feces. If widespread lethargy or abnormal feces are found, promptly investigate the cause.

Individual examination process: after identifying abnormal rabbits, use the five-look three-check method. Five looks: look at mental state, coat condition, eye and nasal discharge, fecal characteristics, and respiratory rate. Three checks: check temperature (normal 38.5-39.5 degrees Celsius), check oral mucosa color, check abdominal palpation.

Establish health scoring card system: create independent health record cards for each rabbit, scoring 1-5 on each inspection. Score 5 indicates full health; score below 3 requires marked attention; score below 2 requires immediate isolation and treatment. Digital scoring data enables population health trend analysis.

Inspection recording and handover: complete inspection record forms after each inspection including inspection time, abnormal rabbit ID numbers with symptom descriptions, and measures taken. Focus on communicating abnormal conditions during shift handovers. Weekly summary analysis of inspection data extracts health issues requiring focused attention.
