Scientific reproduction techniques are key to efficiency in large-scale farms.

Estrus synchronization uses hormone treatment to concentrate estrus and ovulation in a group of does at a predetermined time. Common protocol: PMSG 40-60 IU intramuscular injection, followed 48-72 hours later by hCG 30-50 IU, with mating 10-12 hours after the second injection.

Artificial insemination effectively increases utilization of superior bucks. Semen collection uses the artificial vagina method; adult bucks produce 0.5-1.5 ml per ejaculate. Immediately test semen quality: sperm concentration no less than 300 million/ml, motility no less than 70%, abnormality rate below 15%.

Semen extender formula: glucose 5g + sodium citrate 0.5g + distilled water 100ml, or use commercial rabbit extenders. Dilution factor depends on sperm concentration, ensuring no less than 15 million live sperm per 0.5 ml insemination dose.

Use specialized rabbit insemination pipettes, inserting 6-8 cm deep into the vagina and injecting slowly. Post-insemination GnRH injection significantly improves conception rate. Maintain strict asepsis throughout; change insemination pipettes between does. Establish complete breeding record archives.
